憤怒的北美紅雀 Angry Cardinal

自農曆新年以後，手肘都有點不舒服，可能是筋肌勞損，所以有一段長時間沒鉤玩偶，現在好多了，就重新拿起鉤針。

這鳥聽說是最近流行電玩的主角。

My  elbow hurted since Chinese new year, so I didn't work on amigurumi for a long time.  Now I feel much better and so work on amigurumi again.

This angry cardinal is said to be the main character of a game.

兔女娃 Rabbit girl

兔年快要到了，要多做幾款兔子送人。

半自創的和服兔子 Rabbit in kimono again

上個月我為 Smooch Panda 做了編圖測試，另一位網友把和服的袖子加長了，我覺得很好看，於是也模仿做了一個，除了袖子以外，腰帶和耳朵也稍為作了改動。

Last month I did pattern testing for Smooch Panda. There was another tester who add extra length to the sleeve of the rabbit she made. I like that idea very much and so this rabbit is made. In additional to the sleeves, I also made minor modification to the sash and the ears.

穿西洋古裝的熊 A bear in ancient western custome

根據編圖，這是一隻老鼠，大概是因為選色的問題，這老鼠看起來就像小熊維尼穿了女裝，所以我乾脆把長長的尾巴也移除，讓他當一隻熊罷了。我打算用灰色毛線再做一隻，而且把嘴巴弄得尖一些，希望更像一隻老鼠。

According to the pattern, this is supposed to be a mouse. However, due to the colour I have chosen, I think this is more like a bear (Winnie the Pooh).  So I have removed the long tail and just let it be a bear.  I am planning to make this mouse with grey colour yarn and a more pointed muzzle.

馴鹿 Reindeer

這是另一個 Dawn Toussaint 為團鉤而創作的編圖，這編圖漂亮而且簡單，在網上看到不少人都在做，有人說只用了4小時就完工了，也有人說花了兩個晚上，而我呢？我花了二十多小時！

This is another lovely pattern that Dawn Toussaint designed for crochet along.  It is quite a easy pattern and there are a lot of people working on it.  I have read a post saying that she has finished one in 4 hours, and another post saying that she has finished one in 2 nights.  As for me, it took me more than 20 hours！

電腦鼠標 Computer mouse

這電腦鼠標其實是一個貓玩具。除了那幾條鬍子，其他部份都是牢牢的固定在身體上。

This one is supposed to be a cat toy. So except the whiskers, all parts are firmed attached to the body.

穿和服的兔子 Rabbit in kinmono

這是我第一次為 Smooch Panda 作編圖測試，我做這個測試的原因是要知道她是如何弄眼睛的。眼睛是靈魂之窗，眼睛好看不好看對整體的影響很大，玻璃和膠的眼睛都能起畫龍點睛的效果，可是對我來說貴了一點。

This is the first time I do pattern testing for Smooch Panda. I decided to do the testing because I want to know how she made the eyes.  The quality of eyes is crucial to the look of an amigurumi.  Glass eyes and plastic eyes are both good but too costly to me. 

水母 Jellyfish

這的我第三次為 unforth 作編圖測試，這水母超簡單，沒有甚麼地方需要推敲，所以很快就完成了。

This is again a pattern from unforth of  Curiously Crafted Creations.  This is a very easy pattern that you can crochet non-stop without thinking.

黃金企鵝 Golden penguin

FreshStitches 的 Stacey用這企鵝編圖辦了一個團鉤，這編圖特別之處是幾乎全部只用後半線圈來編織，鉤的時候感覺很柔軟，很舒服。

This pattern is from a crochet-along organized by Stacey of FreshStitches.  One special point about this pattern that only back loop is used almost throughout the whole pattern.  It give an extra soft feeling during crocheting.

墨魚棒球員 Squid, a baseball player

這是我第二次為 unforth 作編圖測試，這個墨魚編圖比上次的肥魚編圖稍為複雜，特別是他的8條腿，用的是 i-cord 編織法，對於熟悉棒針編織的人來說，這是不費吹灰之力的，PlanetJune 設計了一個以鉤針和手指來編織 i-cord 的方法，但這對我來說是有些難度。

Unforth 說她準備用不同的魚類／海洋生物去成立一隊棒球隊，很期待啊！

This is the second time I did pattern testing for unforth of Curiously Crafted Creations.  This squid is more complicated than the fat fish.  He has 8 legs made of i-cord.  For knitters, i-cord should be a piece of cake.  PlanetJune has derived a method so that this can be done with a crochet hook and fingers.  Knitting with a crochet hook and fingers is a challenge to me.

Unforth said that she is going to have a baseball team of different fishes/sea animals.  I am looking forward to this.

持花的小妹 Doll with flowers

這是我第一次弄比較像人的娃娃，頭髮弄得不太好，還要多練習和參考其他人的作法。

This is the first time I made a human-like doll.  The hair is not very satisifactory.  Still need a lot of practice with reference to other tutorials.

小熊 A little bear

鉤這小熊時遇到了一些麻煩，結果又鉤又拆了好幾遍。

第一，手和腿沒說明是多少圈，只說要多長，因為我用的線和作者的不同，所以要試幾次才能試出一個比較滿意的比例，不過和原作仍有一段距離。

第二，我拉線還是時鬆時緊，結果雙腳鉤了幾次都是沒法直向前，第一次是傾斜45度，而且鞋底還拱起來呢！

雖然如此，我是挺喜歡這小熊的做型，希望遲些鉤一個穿裙子的。

I encountered some problems when working on this little bear, thus have to redo this several times.

Problem #1.  For the arms and legs, the pattern does not say how many rounds, just say how long.  Since I am not using the same yarn as the designer, I have to try a few times before reaching a reasonable proportion.  Yet this still is quite different from the original design.

Problem #2.  I still cannot control the tightness of my stitches properly.  Still sometimes too tight, and sometimes too loose.  The result?  The feet cannot point forward as required even after several attempts!  When I tried it for the first time, the shoes are pointing at 45 degrees, and with bulging bottom!

Nevertheless, I like this little bear.  I intend to make another bear later, with a dress.

肥魚 A fat fish

參加了一個為他人作編圖測試的團體，玩偶的編圖不多，但剛好給我遇上了這尾肥魚，因為是測試編圖的關係，所以要忠於原著，不能將編圖改動，只能在配色方面展現個人風格。

這魚的體型不小，如果單色會略嫌單調，但礙於編圖的特點（螺旋式鉤法，而且每圈的開始是在旁邊而不是底部），一圈圈的換色會有缺陷，所有決定隨意換色。魚尾按原意是垂直的（就像下面的照片），但因為每圈的第一針會逐漸右移的關係，變成如今略為傾斜的樣子。如果我要再編這條魚的話，我會按實際情況將編圖微調，而且將魚尾弄成水平，就像上面的照片那樣。

I have justed joined a group for doing pattern testing.  There are only a few amigurumi patterns, and this fish is one of them.  As a general rule for doing pattern testing, we should exactly follow the design.  We can only play around with the colour for showing our own style.

The size of this fish is not small at all.  So a single colour for the whole body would be too dull.  But as limited by the pattern (it is not joined and the start of a round is at the side instead of the bottom), making stripes of colours is not desirable.  So I just create patches of different colour in random.  According to the pattern, the tail should stand up (like the lower photo).  But due to the gradual shifting to the right of stitches, the tail of my fish came out to be inclined to one side.  Should I shall make this fish again, I would like to adjust the stitches of the tail so that it will lay flat, just like to the upper photo.

Cactus Plant 仙人球

我十分喜歡這編圖的仙人球，因為看起來非常逼真。編織的時候我將編圖稍為改了：
- 除了紅色花那盆，在改變編織方向的時候我都用了表引短針或裡引短針
- 我將盆邊的編織方法改了用 Spike stitch，這樣子盆邊就更突出了。

This pattern gives a real looking cactus which I like very much.   I have slightly modified the pattern as follows:
- used FPSC or BPSC whenever there is change in crochet direction (except the one with red flower)
- when making the rim of the pots, I have used spike stitch instead (I have combined spike st with sc, hdc and linked dc for the 3 different pot I have made).

小鬼 Little ghost

這小鬼其實很高大，有32cm高，我最喜歡他的屁股。

This little ghost is not small at all.  He is 32cm tall,  I like his bottom.

小豬 Little Piggy
