棒針織的老鼠小姐 Knitted City Mouse

 

 

這老鼠小姐已完成了1個多月了，一直忘了傳上來。這玩偶用了不少編織技巧，我從中學了不少。

This mouse was finished over a month ago,  This toy requires quite a lot of knitting technique.  I learned a lot from it.

棒針織的兔子 A Knitted Rabbit

參加了這個兔子的團織活動，織圖不算複雜，但這設計師喜歡用2種粗幼不同的線來織不同的部位，這對我來說是一個考驗，我沒法買到她用的線，也不知道她用的線究竟是多粗多幼，當她說要用粗線時，我只能參考其他人的成品照，織織拆拆，碰碰撞撞，把針數和圈數自行調整。

Joined a KAL to knit this rabbit.  The pattern is quite easy, except that the designer likes to use yarns of different thickness for different part of the toy.  To me, this is a challenge.  I not only cannot buy the yarn she used in my city, but not even knowing how thick or thin the yarn is.  So whenever she uses the thicker yarn, I have to look at the photo posted by other participants and then try and error to adjust the stitch count and number of round.

I am now learning to use 1 circular needle to knit small things in the round - the magic loop method.  Learning this technique is easy, but still need lots of practicing to master it.

上個月在網上閒逛的時候，遇上了一個神秘玩偶團織活動，雖然不知道織的是甚麼，我的棒針技術也不是太好，也拍拍心口就參加了。這是我第一次參加神秘團織活動，挺好玩的。

Last month I encountered this mystery KAL while surfing aimlessly on the web.  Though my knitting technique is still at elementary level and I do not know what is to knit, I still join the activity.  This is the first mystery KAL I ever have.  I enjoyed the process very much.

大毛驢 Big Donkey

這毛驢和早前的小毛驢是同一系列的。為了織那毛毯，特意的從視頻學了海浪花。

This donkey is also a free pattern from theThe Donkey Sanctuary.  To make the blanket, I learnt entrelac knitting from video tutorial found on web.

海浪花 Entrelac

大概是去年吧，在瀏覽網頁的時候看到一頂附有免費編圖的帽子，覺得很好看，就對自己說也要學織這種花樣，後來從其它網友那裡知道這種花樣叫作海浪花。

我在織一隻毛驢，需要一塊毯子披在毛驢身上，這是一個運用海浪花的好機會，於是在網上尋來教學視頻跟著學。我找到的那個視頻解說很清楚，只是織出來在方格與方格之間的空隙比較大，後來找到另一段視頻，也就是現在引用的那個，織的方法不會有空隙，我覺得比較好。

Last year I found a beautiful Entrelac Hat with free pattern while surfing on the net.  I like the look of the hat and said to myself that I would learn to knit Entrelac some day.

I am now knitting a donkey and need to have a blanket for him.  This would be an excellent chance to learn and practice Entrelac knitting.  I learned Entrlac knitting from a video tutorial.  The explanation is very clear, but the method would lead to holes where the blocks meet.  I then searched on the web again and found the below video.  The explanation is also very clear, and the knitting method ensures no undesirable holes.

棒針的環編起針 Cast on when knitting in the round

一般來說，環編織小件的東西都是用4到5支棒針來起針的，那麼多的針，那麼少的針數，對我來說是個噩夢。現在有好消息了，在網上找到一個教程，教的是用環針來起針，看起來比較容易掌握。

Usually, when we are knitting small things in a round, we have to use 4 to 5 double pointed needles for cast on.  To me, so many needles and so few stitches is a nightmare.  Here is a good news.  There is a video tutorial teaching now to cast on using circular needle.  It seems that that technique is easier to master.

棒針小象 Knitted Little Elephant

我的第二個棒針玩偶，這次拉線緊了些，縫合的時候針步比較容易看清楚，比第一個好多了。

This is my second knitted toy. Compare to the last one, the stitch of this one is more tight, thus I can see the stitch much better when sewing.

我只做了一隻棒針玩偶，那是一個很簡單的小狗，編織也不困難，困難的地方在縫合，參考了一般的網上介紹也掌握不了。

後來找到了下面的網站，裡頭有專為棒針玩偶而設的教程，很實用。

I have made only one knitted toy.  It is just a simple small dog.  Knitting is not too difficult, but the sewing up almost killed me.  Though I have referenced a number of web pages on the sewing method, I still cannot master it.

我的第一個棒針玩偶，用了差不多一年才完成。縫合太難了！

This is my first knitted amigurumi.  It took me almost 1 year to complete!  The assembly process is too difficult for me......
